The What if Calender

The Mayan calender ends on December 12, 2012. Some imminent scientists have suggested various ways the earth could end on that date. Yellowstone Park could erupt, a comet could hit the earth, a plague, massive solar storms, earthquakes related to a major trigger like a volcano causing cataclysmic tsunamis and destroying infrastructure and a major supplier of food. There is the I Ghing, Terence McKenna's Time Wave Zero, (a mathematical equation) The Hopi Prophecy having similar time frames the end time. Various prominent preachers interpreting scripture and declaring an agreement with ancient beliefs that the worst is upon us. You have a believers list which is significant, lined with celebrities, some building shelters so they could withstand the worst cataclysm. The question is why? Should you not be concentrating on answering your own real question of why you are even alive and not if you are going to die. The truth is it is easier to dwell on the negative because it has been around us all. It is like believing in the devil but not in god. Mainly there the reason likely is because there have been too many claiming to be a god and very few admitting they were a devil. Maybe it's fatigue maybe it's ignorance reborn. You know knowledge is a gift which can lift your spirit to dizzying heights but it is also can be an unbearable weight. History has shown that it is our nature to stop knowledge from being understood in its totality. A case in point, the bible was a collection of writings selected by a group of scholars anointed by King James which became the King James Bible. That bible edited down what had been translated at that time and took ten percent of what was known and agreed that this was the Christian bible and all beliefs were held within. History has also shown that the original bible has been rewritten by many different Christian religions and they centre on different aspects of how you should live your life. The only common bond between many christian religions is that they all believe that Jesus is the son of God or God. It is similar to the Mayan Calender in that many other Sayers of doom will agree and show how or why they agree and the nay Sayers will do the same.

The Muslim and Jewish faith is not so different from the Christian faith. They fight wars to determine who is more right or righteous or who is more vengeful.

What if all the predictors of doom were correct yet at the same time they were not.What if all the religions or science are both correct.
