A SOLDIER OF WAR

GOD

Have you ever really thought about God?
I repeat. Have you ever really thought about God?
I mean, have you ever really thought about who he is?
Where does he go when he is lonely? What does he do when he is sad?
Whom does he meet with to share a moment of joy?
Where does he go? Where has he been?
What size is his shoe? Who are his kin?
Suppose I told you that God was here.
He was doing a tour of duty.
Would you rush out to greet him?
Or would you hide in your sin?
To be Adam man on the Eve of Armaggeddon
Is to be a Damned man on the doorstep of time
And of creation itself.

The mystery of God has never been told. His face has never been seen. You have been told that he lives in a heaven but no one has ever been there. When he is thought of, it is as one who is loving, terrifying, jealous, wrathful and one to be feared. He is all that, yet none of those things. Some of you believe that Jesus Christ is the Great God that started it all. Only Jesus has not only been seen, he lived amongst us. He also said that I am not the father but the son. It will be someday very soon now that Jesus Christ will be God and not because he inherited the position but for the great and heroic deeds that he himself did and you are clearly not aware of.

God is everything you ever hoped for but nothing you could ever imagine.

I will tell you the story with as few descriptive passages as possible. For your part of this truth is inside of all of you and I could not do your part justice. I will mostly just give you the words spoken in real time as events happened.
I will also give you a few insights into a great family and the true sight of their personality which is as diverse and complicated as it is beautiful.
This is the story of God.

A SOLDIER OF WAR
(The First Hour)
There Is This War On Urantia

Let me tell you how it all began more than forty nine-thousand years ago, on this swirling mass of human existence called earth as it is known today. It all began with a hail from a planet than known as Urantia. (Or the Experiment)

They relayed the hail to the general in charge of that sector and he informed those who had gathered that enormous day. For that day, all things would begin to change. His name is Adjunct General Joshua.
The general rose and stood as brilliant a being you could ever imagine, yet he was just the beginning . . . “We have just received word that a war has erupted on Urantia. This, as you all know, was to be the bridge between those who support Dragoona, those who support the ancients of old and those who want an independent Jehovah regime. These amalgamated races have not united as we had anticipated. Even the lost races are doomed to repeat their transgression. It is I believe, that the great experiment is over. We should also consider ceasing Dragoona access to Urantia til we sort through these turbulent times and find the roots of the upheaval in Urantian society.”

And how do you propose we do that general. This body speaks with moral persuasion. We do not tell anyone to do anything. We demonstrate their ways to be in error and then use our various means to guide them in that direction. And what if Dragoona rejects us completely. Have you thought of that?” Asked Lord Fine of the Iniquitian High Council.

General Joshua rose again and said, “General Lupien, I would be interested in what you as Chief of Staff of the Great Centurian fighting force has to say. Do you think that the best we could offer is moral persuasion to Dragoona?”

General Lupien, a general of considerable experience who had the respect of his soldiers, pondered the question and measured his response. “No, that is not all we can do. However to do more would risk war and war at a time when most of you have no effective fighting forces. It would leave the war colony and the Legionaries to interdict on your behalf leaving both forces highly vulnerable to attack and too far apart to assist each other in an emergency. We should assume that if we act now, Dragoona could and would target one of us and probably already has.”

Are you suggesting, General Lupien that Dragoona is planning to disband the treaty we have signed and attack without provocation?” A shocked Lord Fine asked.

An uneasy energy passed among the group. “I disclose that we to target weak points of strategic values and I believe Dragoona could do anything. He is a brilliant battlefield architect. If he sees an opening in an escalating tension. He will take advantage, of that we are certain.”

Utter nonsense. Dragoona is no more prepared for DIRECT CONFRONTATION WITH US THEN WE ARE WITH THEM” A Voice from an old ancient echoed from across the expansive table that served as the committee war room. Which sole purpose now was for strategic planning, and mostly mundane things. Routine things. Much like much of the generalship had become, routine, closed and not willing to take risks. Warnings were often not heeded. This was the seat of all power. The United Assembly of Ancients had a hand in creating much of all that was and would be. It was believed Dragoona would not risk a confrontation with them after all, he was one of them. He was more ambitious than they, but hardly a threat to them. Ironically, the ancient whose profound and scolding statement that was just heard, was named Destiny. A member of the tribunal who had immense influence. He was also an original founding member of the Centurian race. He examined General Lupien closely. “General Lupien, is it your opinion that your Centurians under your command are now not ready to meet aggression if it comes from a Dragoonian force? “

Eminence. I think the readiness of the Centurian War Colony is not the issue. As you know we have remained at alert status since the tribal hostilities have erupted. The point is that no matter what our state of preparedness is, if we begin to be pulled in many directions we cannot maintain our strength. If we were then attacked at a vulnerable point, we will suffer casualties at the very least. As I have already stated there is no affective fighting force between the Centurian War Colony and the Legionnaires, at least none that could defend against an invasion from Dragoona. And I have been requesting permission to expand the fighting force to meet those challenges.”

The request for the increase in the fighting force was not addressed.

Father Iniquity, father of all Iniquitians, which were mainly an orphan civilization and founder of the Legionnaires, listened intently, surveying the positions of those at the table. Father Iniquity had few peers and held the respect and admiration of all. He would have a mission of indescribable horrors as he fought to save his son. He was a mediator who believed that when the velvet glove was rejected the iron fist would be presented. His domain, held twenty-nine planetary life stations, of various sizes in mass and purpose. They were bound together by seven solar stars in three dimensions of space.

Trinity, an influential member of the council, who rarely spoke to the council, relayed both her mates and her troubling concerns. “Gentle beings. Has anyone from this council approached Lord Dragoona on these matters?”

He has not responded to several lower level requests for his kind to meet our kind.” Answered Lord Fine.

Have we tried to contact him directly?”

We have made no attempts?”

Pay no mind mother. I would know if trouble was afoot “ Iniquity whispered assuredly. Trinity was the mother of the race and it would be her children that would make up the front line of any war.

Lucas, what have you heard?” Trinity familiarly asked the most supreme being at the gathering, like a mother worried for child and needing reassurance from an old friend. They had known each other so long neither knew precisely how long.

King Lucas did not waste words. He was funny, generous, kind and perfect in any way. Still, some unknown presence also drove him. Some said it was his energy, others his work, but whatever it was there was something odd about him. He would look and not see . It was as if he were listening to thousands of voices at once.

Trinity so far there is but a skirmish on Urantia. If it becomes more then that we will deal with that. Do not be concerned.”

Nadine who often spoke in her father’s sentences added, “Mother Trinity, even Dragoona would not dare tempt his fate against the Centurians.”

The optimism of youth gives me both hope and despair.”

Please let there be no more talk of despair.  We are here to discuss Urantia. Jehovah, explain what is going on there?” Hosanna brought the meeting back to order.

He was an ancient of old whom they knew in an earlier day as a ferocious warrior and he ruled with an iron fist. He was an immense being with little patience who liked action over thought and order over chaos. Even after many solar centuries since his last battle he was still impressive as The Director General of the Centurian War Colony.

Jehovah, incumbent Lord of Urantia, was also an ancient who had a home planet that was well stocked, well educated, and peaceful. He addressed the question. “Urantia has twenty-nine tribes that have been warring with each other on every dynasty in the quadrant. They are now warring on Urantia. They had made progress toward peace and had agreed in principle. The question must be then why now? We have a report that Dragoonas army is on the move that might point to a direct threat from him, but without any indisputable proof I cannot say that outside this forum Jehovah replied.

Are you saying there is a traitor in your group?” Hosanna boomed loudly.

I have no reason to believe that yet.” Jehovah prickled at the mention of a traitor.

Nevertheless, we are wondering are we not?” Hosanna asked.

As I have stated, Lord Hosanna, I have no reason to believe that. My aids are loyal and have shown devotion to every cause whatever the situation.” Jehovah’s voice rose noticeably as he staunchly defended his group.

Admiral Word, chief of the Spirit Angel Colonies’ Northern Division, showed that Dragoonian force movements had indeed been in coordination with Urantian movement. Admiral Word was a capable planner and administrator. He was a functionary of great abilities who could see and solve even the minutest of detail. He kept his troops well dressed and pressed and drilled and schooled in all the latest theories. He began to believe that war could be clean, if managed properly.

Zulu was a jolly deity, he had patience and understanding and a true willingness for change. Zulu was the head of a triad of three planetary life stations which were cultured, self-sufficient and defenseless. Nevertheless, there was a broad shield Zulu could spread out if his dynasty were ever fired upon. There was also a question of, how large of an attack could he withstand? They were not warriors.
After this meeting would end, Lord Zulu would not be found again but another voice was heard within the Thousand Lights of Majesty.
Wherever was Zulu, Little Zulu was sure to be found. Little Zulu had no status other than being his son. He was a quiet, lovable boy, round like his father who could roll himself into a ball and roll away when threatened. It was Zulus’ home that Dragoonas exploits potentially threatened. “My militia has reported on at least three occasions a Dragoonian-like expeditionary force that had entered Zulu ones outer limits.”

Was this mentioned?” Admiral Word declared in a loud and astonished tone of voice.

I said the report described a Dragoonian-like force. I could not say if so. Please understand. My people are apprehensive at our present situation. They could be some light riders testing response times. We believe if hostilities were to come, Centurians too would come. All our friends would come. Am I right?”

Admiral Word spoke instantly. “We would come of course. The Centurian Northern division will stop any attack that is directed toward you. Our projections show little if any chance of your light stations sustaining any real structural damage.”

Is that uniformly what they believed in the ranks, Admiral Dirk?” Asked Iniquity. He felt uneasy with the simplicity of the answer to a very complex question.

Soldiers follow orders, Eminence.”

Sure they do but do the officers feel the same? Is there any dissension?”

NO.” Admiral Dirk answered Iniquity sharply.

Do you then feel that this is nothing but an exercise of military might, if that is so let me inform you the Dragoona has considerable military might and he is not a bit shy in showing it off. So at the risk of sounding antagonistic I repeat my question. Is there any disagreement within your general staff as to Centurian ability to repel an aggressor?” Iniquity continued.

No! I say this to you Eminence. You are a great and honored Lord whom every Centurian admires and by me in particular as a great host. You have schooled many of us and have been my personal mentor and a legend to me. If I knew of anything afoot, I would tell you sir.” Admiral Dirk replied.

Admiral Dirk, I appreciate your kind words but I must carry this further and ask if we all believe we have is no dissension. I for one do not. If Dragoona moved now we would be in one big mess. Does anyone have the same feelings as I do?”

Nadine spoke. “Father Iniquity. It is known that Commander Armaggeddon does not believe that neither the tactics nor the readiness, of the Centurian Force is sufficient to go to war with Dragoona.”

Nadine, as much as I love you, I must make you aware of this.” General Destiny said, “Commander Armaggeddon is only a commander for a reason. First he should not be talking about our readiness much less admitting defeat to a non-Centurian.”

Lord Destiny. I will expect you to withdraw that last statement. Have you forgotten whom you are talking too or have I given too many liberties?” Father, God of Paradise, The supreme creator spoke to his loyal and good friend raged. Nadine was his daughter and the heir apparent to all there was.

A shaken General Destiny recovered and replied this time with wisdom. “Princess Nadine of Armaggeddon I apologize. I spoke to you as a father who loves you and I spoke recklessly. May I ask for forgiveness?”

Father Destiny you don’t have to apologize to me for anything and please don’t be formal with me I love you too much and I won’t have it. Father, you are just being silly. I thought you were threatening father Destiny for speaking to me.” This time Destiny answered for Lucas. “Nadine, you know your father only protects your interests besides he and I have been butting heads for a very long time. We are still friends, isn’t that right Lucas?”

Yes my old friend, this is true.” Lucas replied withholding the rest of his rage, that something that was seldom witnessed and never in front of this gathering. Destiny knew he had hit a sore spot but continued his statement, out of his own convictions and worries about the leadership skills of Commander Armaggeddon though he was soon to be wed to Nadine.

My friends we have been in many a campaign together. We have built great things. We have made peace because of Havona which was created by Father Lucas King. It is the name he has taken to avoid being called King Lucas. Yet all of us know that he is the King of this body. He is the king of everybody because he is the ultimate head. We all wait for the final decision on every subject. Princess Nadine has been impatient when waiting for a decision so she makes it herself. In many respects she is her father. Still I must say in response to Iniquities question of how do the ranks feel about war with Dragoona. He does not see the large picture and a good officer needs to see what is not plainly seen. He is a good field commander but his words hold little weight with me.”

The pain could be clearly seen in Nadine’s eyes as she spoke. “Father Destiny. Armaggeddon is a brilliant, fearless warrior who would throw himself on a sword to protect any one of you. Are you saying that while you could accept that, you cannot accept or listen to what he has to say? He is an officer that has had combat with Dragoonian forces and has won them all. Is your confidence in the Centurians based on his success?”

Nadine. Many other officers that have encountered Dragoonian forces and the results have all been the same. That is where my confidence is based. The Centurian fighting force is unbeatable. It has always been that way since your father first conceived of such a force and it will be that way for a long time to come. Well after this crisis has passed and been forgotten. But Commander Armaggeddon has me concerned. A Centurian who believes he could be defeated will be defeated.”

Father Destiny. He never said he would be defeated he said the Centurians lack of preparedness is not sufficient to go to war.” Corrected Nadine.

Lord Destiny did not hear or comprehend what the Princess Nadine had just told him. Instead he replied. “I think the commander should be suspended from his current posting and placed on training assignment at the Centurian War Colony. General Lupien what are your thoughts on that?”

Father Destiny how could you? “Nadine implored.

Nadine let due process sort this out. You are too close to him to be objective.” He replied then turned his gaze to the general on the hot seat. General Lupien bristled at the suggestion, wanting to defend Armaggeddon but also knowing that Destiny was not asking for his opinion. He was being told his opinion, as he followed throughout the course of his career to ascend to the generalship of the Centurian War Colony, and then finally to chief of staff. Nominated by, ushered to the office by his mentor, Arch Angel Director General Destiny, an ancient of old, how could he say anything but. “The commander has a good record but if he is having difficulty with command perhaps a stay at the colony will do some good. I will order his transfer effective immediately.”

Nadine rose with anger. “When something is wrong with thinking maybe the enemy is within.” She said and left the room abruptly.

Iniquity, enraged now, spoke directly to King Lucas. “How could you allow this to happen? You know how all Legionnaires feel about Armaggeddon. You allow him to be dishonored and say nothing.” King Lucas stared at him with an intensity reserved for two old friends for understanding but none was forthcoming. With that, he too left the meeting with his last words of a prophecy. “This day may be the end of us all. But what hurts the most are the friendships that have suffered. We have problems in all directions, in every sector and the leadership cannot solve even those situations. What makes anyone think they can solve the really difficult days which lie directly ahead of us all. I will offer Armaggeddon to join the Legionnaires again. He will have a home there.”

Lucas made his way over to his old friend blocked his path from leaving and said in a voice only Iniquity could hear. “Are you acting on the advice from our friends for Armaggeddon?”

Yes, are you as well?” Inquired a hopeful yet puzzled Iniquity.

Yes. How can this be?” King Lucas immersed himself in the essence of his friend Iniquity. They were the greatest of friends who loved and had a respect for each other’s way that was unparalleled. The secrets they possessed would eventually change all things that had been put wrong.

I gave him the Christ energy as instructed. It has not accepted him yet. Perhaps he is to be tested. The Eyes will guide him. Perhaps we are just the pawns after all.”
Iniquity assured Lucas.

Please stay here my friend; I have a bad feeling about all of this.” Lucas had an anxious feeling about the coming events.

Iniquity himself felt anxiety so much so he felt something had to be done now. Even though he was not sure what should be done he was willing to follow the path as he saw it and said. “I cannot leave my people unguarded.”

Then I will come with you.”

Iniquity looked at his dear friend as if he were looking at him for the last time and said, “We both know without you here all races’ fall. We must follow the path of faith just like we put before many others. We must make sure of the promise and teach him to live.”
